A Suprise Stint of Embossing!

Our recent stampin' club made three fun projects. Two with chipboard, and a spinner or suspension card.

Anyone that knows me - knows that I hate to heat emboss. When I first learned to stamp the lady taught me to emboss, then watercolor the image. Every single card I stamped for quite some time was done that way.

Eventually, I caught up with a group via email (long before the internet was widely available..... ahhhh, the benefits of having a government job!) that showed me the way. You can make a card, and it doesn't have to be embossed!

Since then, I don't emboss much.

Imagine the surprise at club night, when I broke out the embossing powder to emboss on chipboard! I love the glossy mottled look on the chipboard flower. Guess I may have to break out that powder a little more often!

I love the embossed chipboard, see that wasn't so hard!

I don't heat emboss *all* the time, but I do like it alot. It's just so rewarding to watch that powder melting and popping up off the card stock! Great projects!
